Local elections 2018: A guide for voters

Local elections for Camden take place in just under a month’s time, and deadlines for voters are looming.

Polling takes place on 3 May, with 54 seats up for grabs across the borough’s 18 wards.

Camden Council has published a list of all the candidates in each ward which you can use to check who is standing in your area.

The deadline for voter registration is only a week away – Tuesday 17 April. Residents can find out whether or not they are registered by contacting the council at electoral.services@camden.gov.uk.

Those who are not yet signed up can do so through the government’s Register to Vote webpage.

Residents who plan to vote by post must get a completed application form to electoral services by 5pm on Wednesday 18 April.

If you’re voting by proxy – when someone else goes to a polling station on election day to fill in a ballot on your behalf – electoral services needs to have received a completed application by 5pm on Wednesday 25 April.
